Vanilla Sauce

Vanilla Sauce

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tbl cornstarch
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 tbl butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • pinch of salt


In a small saucepan bring 1 cup of water to boil. Combine sugar and cornstarch and slowly add to the boiling water while constantly stirring. Let simmer for 5 minutes while constantly stirring. Stir in the butter, vanilla, and salt. Mix well.

This goes great over the Chocolate souffle recipe.
