Quick Sugar Donuts
Submitted by: Jane Stout

 Prep Time: 15 minutes
 Cook Time: 2-3 minutes
 Servings: 6-8 servings

  • 2 cans refrigerator biscuits
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups vegetable oil
  • Small brown paper sack

Heat oil in small saucepan on medium low heat. Lay biscuits flat on cutting board, cut hole in the center using the lid of a 2-liter pop bottle or something similar in size. When oil is hot enough that one of the doughnut holes begins to fry immediately when dropped in oil, fry 2 to 3 donuts at a time (too many will drop the temperature of the oil) a minute or two on each side until you can see the edges light brown in color. With tongs, turn the donut and again cook for a minute or two. Remove donuts from oil and drop into small brown paper sack with the sugar inside. Shake. Remove and serve warm.
