Overnight Potatoes

Overnight Potatoes

 Cook Time: 30-45 minutes
 Servings: 12-15 servings


Ingredients:


  • 12 medium potatoes
  • 12 ounces cream cheese (softened)
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • garlic salt
  • chives (optional)
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (another 2 cups to sprinkle on top)


Directions:


Cook and mash potatoes (don't add milk or butter). Add sour cream and stir. Mix in cream cheese, shredded cheese, chives and add garlic salt to taste. Put in buttered 9 X 13 pan. It can be refrigerated overnight. (If you refrigerate overnight, allow to set out for 15 to 30 minutes.) Before baking, dot with 1/2 stick of butter sliced thinly. Sprinkle with another 2 cups of shredded cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
