Michelle's Snickerdoodles

 Prep Time: 20 minutes
 Cook Time: 8-10 minutes
 Servings: 4 dozen


Ingredients:


  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • cinnamon and sugar for cookie rolling


Directions:


Mix butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar and eggs together. Sift flour, tartar, soda and salt together. Stir into first mixture. Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll each cookie ball in cinnamon & sugar mixture. Place on cookie sheet and bake 8 - 10 minutes at 400 degrees. These puff up during baking but settle down and look crinkly and sugary when cool.
